7 people including a tribal leader and his 2 brothers were killed by firing on a vehicle in Zhob district of Balochistan.
Levies officials said that the incident took place in Kharlam area of Murga Kabzai, about 80 km from Zhob city.
Officials said that Ahmad Khan Kabzai was traveling in his car along with his 2 brothers and some other people. When they reached Kharlam area near the Pak-Afghan border, unknown assailants hiding in the nearby mountains attacked the car with automatic weapons. In the firing, seven people died on the spot while one person was injured.
A senior Levies official said that the victims tried to escape in the vehicle but did not get a chance to save their lives, adding that the bodies of Ahmed Khan Kabzai and his two brothers were charred when the firing took place. His car caught fire.
As soon as the incident was reported, Levies officials reached the spot and shifted the bodies and the injured to Zhob District Hospital.
Hospital sources said that 7 dead bodies and one injured person were brought to the hospital, all of them died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The reason for the killing of these people was not immediately known and the authorities are investigating the incident, however, the authorities said that Ahmed Khan Kabzai was wanted by the Levies Force and was absconding in many cases, he also had tribal enmity.
