According to the Counter Terrorism Department spokesman, explosive materials, weapons and IEDs have been recovered from the arrested terrorists. The terrorists belong to the outlawed Al-Qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Officials say that the terrorists were arrested during the investigation of 33 suspects. Investigation has been started by registering 5 cases against the said terrorists.

It should be noted that after the recent wave of terrorism in Pakistan, operations against anti-national elements and terrorists on the part of law enforcement agencies have accelerated.

Last week, the CTD claimed to have killed a suspected terrorist belonging to the banned TTP in an encounter and arrested 11 other members of the banned outfit during a search operation conducted in various districts on intelligence inputs. .
