Called ‘CoPilot’, the new Microsoft 365 AI tool is now available in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Just a day after Google successfully launched its AI tools for Google Workspace, Microsoft has announced its new AI tool for Microsoft 365. A Microsoft AI tool called ‘Copilot’ is embedded in three Microsoft software, including Word, PowerPoint. and Outlook.
It has been suggested that Copilot has similar functionality to ChatGPT and can help users with a number of different tasks on all different task-based software. Speaking about the AI tool, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that Copilot will “fundamentally change the way we work”.
Referring to the potential for errors in AI tools, CEO Nadella said that AI tools sometimes have the potential for errors.
According to Microsoft, the Copilot AI tool can perform a number of different tasks, including understanding and summarizing meetings in Microsoft Teams while sending them to those who joined late or missed the meeting. Writing emails, understanding and analyzing long emails and documents, creating detailed presentations that include both text and media, extracting data from charts in Microsoft Excel and then creating detailed graphs and summaries.
ChatGPT version 3.5, which set the internet on fire, is currently only able to respond to and understand text messages, but these new tools released by Microsoft can do a lot more, so it’s believed that They can change the way we work.
Talking about Copilot’s functionality, Microsoft said that it is not exactly ChatGPT, but is based on a similar language model.
Microsoft again reminded users that Copilot can sometimes make mistakes, and that the tool can often be “usefully inaccurate.”
