NAB recovered billions of rupees. 300 million in the M6 motorway corruption case

Recently the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi raided the house of Ashiq Cleary, an accused in the Hyderabad Sukkur Motorway scam and recovered Rs.2000. 300 million in cash.

Referring to reports, 24 News HDHe said that Ashiq Cleary was serving as the personal secretary of former Sindh Law Minister Ziaul Hasan Linjar. Linjar, however, said he was not related to Cleary.

He further said that the name of his personal secretary was Shihab Malah. Linjar said it’s unfair to link him to Cleary.

In an earlier event, the NAB team recovered Rs.5000. 140 million based on a tip provided by Ashiq Cleary. In the latest development, Tipper has become a party in a high-profile corruption case.

Last month, the special anti-corruption court had ordered to transfer the Hyderabad Sukkur Motorway corruption case to NAB. The special court pronounced a reserved decision on the request of NAB. The bureau named 11 suspects in the M-6 corruption investigation.

This is a developing story as NAB is tracking more irregularities through its sources and bringing them to justice.
