The Election Commission has written a letter to the President Dr. Arif Alvi in which he suggested the date for the Punjab Assembly elections. An important advisory meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sulander Sultan Raja, in which members of the Commission and Secretary Election Commission participated.
The Election Commission has sent a letter to the President of the State in the light of the Supreme Court’s decision, in which the dates of April 30 to May 7, 2023 have been suggested for holding the elections in Punjab province.
According to the Election Commission, the President is ready to perform constitutional and legal duties after selecting the date.
Apart from this, the Election Commission has also sent a letter to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stating that in the light of the Supreme Court’s decision, the Election Commission is awaiting your reply.
