There’s good news for consumers in Pakistan, as petrol prices are expected to see a significant reduction of Rs. 10 per liter. This development will come as a relief to motorists who have been struggling with high fuel prices in recent months, and will help ease the burden on household budgets.
The proposal for the reduction in petrol prices was made by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), which analyzed the global oil market and considered the impact on the domestic economy. OGRA recommended a substantial reduction in the petroleum levy and the general sales tax (GST) on petrol to enable the price decrease.
The decision is now awaiting approval from the government.
